Ms. Parsons has been trained on several evidence based practices and works closely with each client/parent to adapt treatment plan goals and objectives to client’s individual, immediate and long-term needs, using a strengths-based approach.

She utilizes techniques focused on trauma in children and adolescents, (including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Child Centered Play Therapy, and Encompass CBT+, which focuses on substance abuse in adolescence)  to help them learn to identify, sort through, verbalize and manage intense emotions in order to better maintain their behaviors and success in school and family life.

She teaches Behavioral Modification to help parents learn strategies and methods to help mold child’s behaviors, as well as to understand child's social, physical, mental, and emotional development, needs and progress.
